​Grapeseed oil is healthy because it is rich in omega-6 fatty acids and vitamin E. The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of vitamin E and omega-6 fatty acids can help protect against free radical damage to slow aging, help prevent certain chronic conditions, and improve skin health.

The research surrounding coconut oil for dry skin typically centers around skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis; it has been shown to be an effective form of treatment for skin conditions that cause dry, flaky skin. Coconut oil can help improve moisture retention and skin barrier function.

​Research has shown that olive oil can help dry skin.  Because the oil is made up of mostly oleic acid, it is an effective moisturizer.

Apricot oil is rich in oleic acid, ThiamineriboflavinNiacinVitamin Cδ-tocopherolα-tocopherol.[1] Vitamin E. Apricot seed plays a role in traditional oriental medicine as a treatment for skin diseases, including acne and dandruff.

Vitamin E is an important antioxidant for the skin. Beneficial; including its function as an antioxidant and its roles in anti-inflammatory processes, inhibition of platelet aggregation and immune enhancement. Additionally, board-certified dermatologist, Anna Guanche, MD, says Vitamin E is also known for its anti-aging and healing properties.

Essential Oils provide a natural light scent. Essential oils are also known as volatile oils, ethereal oils, aetheroleum, or simply as the oil of the plant from which they were extracted .Please note Shea & Shine is availble Unscented.
